Mega Event Management in Pune

Angle Advertising partnered with the Gram Vikas and Panchayat Raj Vibhag, Government of Maharashtra, to manage two high-stakes state-level distribution events for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Held at the Badminton Hall within the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune, we were entrusted with end-to-end execution — directing spatial strategy, regional communication, and crowd psychology mapping, transforming a major administrative welfare milestone into an intuitive public experience.

The Operational Challenge

Executing consecutive massive public distribution events presented intense operational friction. The primary challenge centred on safely moving over 15,000 rural citizens through a rigid, high-security protocol required for top national ministers — including Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis.

The public administration team had to hand over physical sanction papers and execute live financial installment transfers to hundreds of thousands of recipients simultaneously. Any delay in stage cueing, registration, or paper sorting would cause a catastrophic crowd bottleneck.

The Challenge

Moodboard

Event Moodboard and Ecosystem

The mega event’s management strategy targeted a distinct dual-audience structure. The beneficiary segment comprised thousands of rural families who required reassurance, immediate clarity, and easily readable spatial navigation. The administrative and ministerial segment demanded absolute operational precision and policy transparency.

To balance these needs, we curated a visual ecosystem using grounded, structured layouts paired with comforting regional design accents. By combining familiar earth tones with commanding light pink, deep blues, and saffron accents, the campaign made a vast sports arena feel instantly welcoming for families while projecting institutional accountability to the press and leadership teams.

Identity

Identity Design for the Event

The visual structure of the event was customised across print media and live outdoor environments to ensure immediate legibility for a diverse audience. For large-format highway signage, the layout prioritised clean typography and centralised messaging so passing drivers and arriving buses could read critical event details from a distance.

The event’s colour palette anchored the central theme — psychologically, blue builds security and confidence in public infrastructure. The regional print campaign utilised structured full-page newspaper layouts with clear grid lines, making complex data sets, regional achievement ranks, and multi-lakh beneficiary metrics easily digestible for readers across rural districts.

Branding

Event Visual System Design

The entire attendee journey was mapped across high-traffic touchpoints to guarantee zero operational blockages inside the Balewadi sports complex. We designed the event’s pedestrian flow around basic human navigation patterns, placing clear directional signage, open-front information stalls, and large visual backdrops at natural decision points.

This meticulous layout ensured that when attendees walked into the indoor stadium, they knew exactly where to register, sit, and receive their papers without relying on crowded verbal directions. Online, the digital strategy utilised structured information frames and countdown templates to keep regional communities updated between phases.

Execution

Final Event Execution

Our event management team built, branded, and managed the massive physical and digital environments within compressed timelines for each event phase. The measurable impact of this behavioural approach was a seamless public flow.

Both consecutive mass conventions concluded with a perfect safety and satisfaction rate across thousands of visiting citizens. The highly synchronised media push drove massive public visibility, helping the rural development authority celebrate major housing completion milestones. Over 15,000 visitors safely moved through the venue per phase, with all letters and housing awards distributed without a single operational delay or crowd management incident.

The choice to write in both English and Marathi was not accidental. For an oil brand from Pune, writing in Marathi tells consumers that this is a brand that genuinely belongs here. English sits alongside it to make the product accessible to a wider audience without losing that local identity.

The oil bottle label is organised into three clear sections, nutritional information, product identity, and the brand’s background, so that everything a consumer needs is easy to find.
